Old-School Integrity, Modern Sewer Technology
The Otter Squad is led by Alfredo Ortiz, who brings over 30 years of hands-on plumbing trade experience, including major project work for technology giants like Apple and Google.
We are a family-owned, Latino-owned, union plumbing contractor (CSLB #1053855, C-36 & C-42). Our technicians go through an exclusive 5-year union apprenticeship and sharpen skills twice weekly at the local PHCC School of Plumbing in Livermore.

What You'll See When We Show Up
A plumbing visit shouldn't leave your house looking like a job site. Our crews lay tarps down, wear shoe covers, and treat the space around the work the way we'd want our own homes treated. Before we recommend anything, we diagnose the actual problem — running a camera down a sewer line, pressure-testing a gas line, or tracing a leak to its source — and show you what we find in plain language, with photos or footage you can keep.
Then we give you real options and upfront pricing, not a single quote for the most expensive fix. If a spot repair solves it, that's what we bid. If the whole line needs to go, we say so and explain why. Every job carries the same guarantee the rest of our work does: Clear Lines or You Don't Pay a Dime.
Building People, Not Just Pipe
Our Career Pipeline does something most companies our size don't: it gives young adults and reentry individuals in Livermore and the Bay Area a real path into the plumbing trade. We hire through the union apprenticeship — a five-year, earn-while-you-learn program — and our crews sharpen their skills twice weekly at the local PHCC School of Plumbing in Livermore. The result is the same union-trained, licensed workforce that shows up on residential, commercial, and municipal jobs.
When you hire The Otter Squad, you're not just getting a plumber. You're backing local workforce development and a company that puts its people through real training rather than handing them a truck and a rate sheet. That's how a family-owned, Latino-owned contractor stays the crew your neighbors call back.
